Lisa Graa Jensen was born in Soborg Denmark and trained at Sir John Cass School of Art , Whitechapel; Camberwell School of Art. Lisa then became a fulltime illustrator with BL Kearley Ltd working for many book publishers.

She is a regular contributor to Leisure Painter exhibits at the Royal Institute of Watercolour Painters. She was elected RI in 1996 and winner of the Kingsmead Award in 1997. Lisa has been awarded prizes at the Royal Academy Christmas Card Competition in 1984, 1985 and in 1986 was awarded 1st Prize. Lisa's distinctive style is full of everyday detail and energetic motion.

Her acute perception of and her obvious fondness for her subjects shine through in the good nature and humour that is captured in characters we can all recognise. Her pictures brighten the dullest day and her work will make an attractive addition to any collection.
