>>> Rosa Sepple's Work

Rosa Sepple was born in London of Italian/British parents, Luciana and James Wright. Rosa lived in Italy for several years, much of the time being spent in the studio of her grandfather, Italian artist Salvatore Casagrande.

Most of her inspiration is drawn from ordinary people and everyday experiences and events. These are then transformed and transported into a dream-like world of her own. Her work is exciting, vibrant and highly original, resulting in figurative works combining observation, memory and imagination.

Rosa is self taught and her compositions have a visual strength and refreshing spontaneity. She experiments continuously using a combination of mediums including watercolour, acrylic, gouache and ink as well as collage to produce beautiful textured surfaces and rich variations of colour and tone. Her work can be found in numerous private collections in the UK, Italy, France and the USA.

Rosa has won many awards for her work including;

The Herring Award, Elizabeth Scott-Moore Award, Daler Rowney Award, Debra Manifold Prize, Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer.

Rosa was elected a member of the Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolours in 2004.
