Tim
Nash 's WorkTi
Tim Nash was born in Birmingham in 1962. After
a formal education he moved into industry and became involved
in the creation of three dimensional prototypes. Soon realising
that he needed to express himself in a more artistic way he
took an art course at a local college and soon became drawn
to watercolour as a medium. Tim joined the Dudley Society of
Artists and was soon accepted as a member of the Birmingham
Watercolour Society.
Tim decided to become a full-time artist and to
concentrate on his watercolour technique. Within one year his
work had been hung by the Royal Institute and later two watercolours
were given positions in the top twenty in the 'Artists under
Thirty years category'.
Favourite subjects include local landscapes,
which Tim often tackles in an exaggerated landscape format,
half-timbered buildings and canals. Colour plays an important
role and Tim usually depicts an evening or midday scene, lending
a contrasting, unifying palette.
